The Midpoint Festival is an independent music festival that was launched in 2001 to help the people of the greater Cincinnati area discover new contemporary music and meet your favorite bands. The annual three day event is held every September in Over-The-Rhine and it becomes a music lovers paradise. This year it will be held from September 23th through the 25th
This year though, due to new management, Midpoint is having a major venue change- the four stages will be in the parking lots of local establishments apposed to bars, giving it a much fore "festival" feel. The owner of Eli's BBQ , where one of the stages will be located, says "...I think it'll be a really cool experience for us to have our restaurant participate.". A waiter at Eli's said that he has attended the festival every year and "the line up gets better and better every year. '.

This years lineup features bands like Future Islands and Longhorn Slim & The Law on Friday, JJ Grey & Mofro and Reggie Watts on Saturday. and Lucero and Band of Horses on Sunday. This Years stages include the Skyline stage, the Elliot stage, the Eli's BBQ stage, and the WNKU stage- all of witch are within two blocks of eachother.
