Chicken Mcgriddle to Conquer Taste Buds?

This week I took an early start to my day to make the trek over to my local McDonalds to try out the new Chicken Mcgriddle. I had some thoughts on what it was going to taste like and I was almost spot on, but when I unpackaged the Chicken Mcgriddle I noticed that the chicken wasn’t the same chicken patty that is used on the regular McChicken sandwich. This chicken patty had a spice on it. I assumed it was just pepper that was added to the patty and that was the only difference. For the most part, I was right but that small kick it gives you at the end of every bite is monumental in the overall taste.

  The Midpoint Festival is an independent music festival that was launched in 2001 to help the people of the greater Cincinnati area discover new contemporary music and meet your favorite bands. The annual three day event is held every September in Over-The-Rhine and it becomes a music lovers paradise. This year it will be held from September 23th through the 25th</sub>

 Bates Motel

Bates Motel is a show based off of Psycho and a series of unheard of events happens to a boy and his mother throughout the show as they get closer and closer. The main characters are Norman Bates and his mom, Norma Bates. After Norman's father dies, they move to a house and buy a motel. The series focuses mainly on Norman's mind and how it works. Norman has been attached to his psychotic mother since as long as he can remember. He has major set backs in the show like the will to be his mother, his insincere brother, and his struggle to have friends in high school. Norman often has black outs where he is a completely different person. He always results to his mom to bring him back into his normal state and tell him what to do. I like this show because it is a lot to take in and understand; you have to understand Norman's background and why he is the way he is. You can't just watch one episode and completely understand what goes on in Norman's mind.

Ah, fall—the season of fuzzy blankets, crunchy leaves, and an eclectic, seasonal menu. From apple cider donuts to hot maple toddies, autumn is a whirlwind of palate-pleasing creations that are sure to leave your kitchen smelling like a hay ride through a pumpkin patch. Some fall treats, though, don’t quite live up to expectations. Let’s review some of fall’s more eccentric treats.

 



The Original Four Seasons

      Jersey Boys is ending an 11 year run on Broadway on  musical began performances on October 4, 2005 and officially opened on November 6 at the August Wilson Theatre. It is one of only five currently running shows to play over 10 years on Broadway. It is also the 12th longest running show in Broadway history, passing such original Broadway productions as Miss Saigon, 42nd Street, Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Producers.

     Netflix comes out with many originals such as Fuller House and Hemlock Grove which have had good intentions but hasn't gone well. Well, everybody was roaring about this Netflix original movie, The Fundamentals of Caring, written and directed by Rob Burnett. When the movie was released on June 24, 2016 it got an 8.2/10 on Metacritic in just a few days, while Rotten Tomatoes rated it with a solid 77%. "Solid performances and some genuinely sharp humor" says a movie critic from Rotten Tomatoes.

Old Timers Day: Bringing a Community Together

This past year has brought one hardship after another to the small town of Rabbit Hash, Kentucky. The worst was on February, 13th 2016, when tragedy struck the small town, their General Store had suddenly caught fire turning the nearly 200-year old building to ash and smoke. It is still unknown what caused the store to catch fire. However, this Old Timer's Day has been a beacon of optimism for the years to come. This year, the town was filled with people from around the country, including my father and myself.
